Sustainable energy policy with an environmental dimension – towards decarbonization

Purpose – The article poses a research question: Is decarbonization an alternative or necessity? In view of the current problems with coal supplies on one hand, and need to take care environment other, question posed takes deeper meaning. Particularly when sustainable management natural resources broad energy policies appear in background. Therefore, hypothesis is: “decarbonization, as recently imposed trends, is indicated from point part policy desirable solution order supplies”. Research method uses several methods: literature studies, secondary data analysis, analysis figures economic aspect elements comparatism. Results shows that (it supported by environmental considerations). Moreover, it necessity follows adopted national strategy, which influenced EU’s climate policy, based pursuit neutrality EU 2050.
